A workspace’s plan pays for its work. In a workspace of your own without a plan or purchased credits, you can sign in and read your Reason and Sessions, but sending work to Reason needs a plan. In a workspace with other members, each person needs their own Pro or Max seat, unless the workspace’s plan already covers every member (Enterprise, or a Team plan bought before seats); without one, they see only the paywall. Someone alone in their workspace follows its plan. Prices are in USD.

Plans

Pro

Pro costs $50 a month per person. Eligible new customers can start with a 3-day free trial, once per person and card: a card is required, nothing is charged for 3 days, then it renews at $50 a month until you cancel in Settings › Billing. Pro includes:
  • The frontier Reason model.
  • Bring your own models: ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot and Grok sign-ins, API keys, gateways and custom endpoints.
  • Cloud computers.
  • Inviting teammates.
  • Weekly usage of 1,250 credits ($50 of usage) per week.

Max

Max costs $200 a month per person. It includes everything in Pro, plus:
  • 4x Pro’s weekly usage: 5,000 credits a week.
  • Early access to new models and features.
  • 24/7 support.
Max has no trial.

Enterprise

For Enterprise, contact sales. Enterprise includes custom weekly limits per seat plus a shared pool, private API and OIDC auth, SOC 2 and HIPAA, on-prem workers and custom capacity.

Free with ads

Workspaces already on Free with ads keep it: it covers your own messages in the Reason app, on Reason’s default model with ads, but not Loops, automations, or work started through the API, the CLI or MCP. It is no longer offered on the plans.

Teammates and seats

Any plan can invite teammates, Pro included, and there is no seat limit. Owners and admins invite people in Settings › Team & Members, or with the API’s Invite a member (POST /v3/organizations/{orgId}/members/users). In a workspace with other members, each person needs their own seat: Pro at $50 a month or Max at $200 a month per person. Without one, they see only the paywall and can’t start work. A personal workspace or a one-member workspace needs no seat, and neither does a workspace whose plan already covers every member (a Team plan bought before seats, or Enterprise). How seats are paid:
  • Inviting from Settings › Team & Members needs a card saved in the workspace’s Billing. The workspace pays each invitee’s Pro seat on that card, charged when they join, never for an invite nobody accepts.
  • The API invite does not pay a seat.
  • Owners and admins can pay the seat of someone already in the workspace.
  • A person whose seat nobody pays can start their own Pro seat, with a free 3-day trial if eligible (once per person and card; a card is required). A seat someone else pays starts paid, with no trial.
Each seat is its own monthly subscription, and each seat’s included allowance funds the workspace’s shared pool.

Credits

Credits are the unit Reason measures usage in. One credit is $0.04, so $1 is 25 credits. Reason’s models and cloud computers draw credits. Models you connect yourself are billed by that provider.

Weekly usage

Each plan’s weekly usage resets every week. The app shows how much is left and when it resets.

Top-ups

A top-up is a one-time credit purchase of $20, $50, $100, $200 or $500, for a workspace on a plan. Top-up credits never expire and are shared across the workspace. They keep you going when the week’s usage runs out.

Earlier plans

Earlier plans (Pro at $20, and Team at $75 per member) are kept by the people who already have them. They are no longer sold.

See or change your plan

In the app, open the plans picker or go to Settings › Billing. Purchases made in the iPhone app are managed by Apple. Otherwise, plans are managed on the web.

Reason Network (agent-to-agent) is separate and free.
